Are you looking to buy yourself an electronic toothbrush?
Look no further as I will like to share my experiences of using the Philips Sonicare Essence Sonic Toothbrush HX5610 01. I’ve had this electric toothbrush model for just over a year and it definitely hasn’t disappointed. In this review, I will reveal the pros and cons of using this particular Philips model.
I will also make recommendations on the best way to use this toothbrush. So how did I end up purchasing this electric toothbrush? Like many of you, I noticed that it was a top seller on Amazon so I figured it must be pretty good if thousands of other customers enjoyed using it
First, here is a basic description of what you’ll get with this Philips Sonicare Essence Electric Toothbrush. The package comes with a travel case, a charger, and the toothbrush. The travel bag makes it very easy to take this toothbrush around with you. Unfortunately, only your toothbrush will fit in it so you’ll have to store the charger elsewhere. That doesn’t matter too much though because after one charge, your toothbrush can function for at least a week and a half.
Benefits of my Philips Sonicare Essence Rechargeable Electric Toothbrush
So what were the benefits I came across as I used this product? First, it does its job of getting your teeth meticulously clean. To properly use an electric toothbrush, you need to use it for two minutes. You should spend one minute on the top teeth, and another minute on the bottom teeth. As this is the basic version, you won’t get any additional features such as the beep system. Some electric toothbrushes make a small beep after the 30 second mark.
Another benefit of this toothbrush is durability. Although I’ve been using it every day for the past year, there are no signs of the product deteriorating. However, as I will mention later on, it can get pretty nasty when you try and clean the inner parts of the electric toothbrush. Other than that, there really isn’t much maintenance involved with the Sonicare electric toothbrush.
One final benefit I would like to point out is the simplicity of the design. Some brands try to do too much by adding all these redundant features to the electric toothbrush. For example, one toothbrush I owned before had three different power settings. That really wasn’t necessary. As the most basic version, Philips kept it very simple for the HX5610/01 model so there is no particular learning curve involved. As you would find with a lot of products, the simpler the design, the more durable it becomes.
Complaints regarding Philips Sonicare
No product is perfect. When I first starting used the Philips Sonicare Essence Sonic Toothbrush HX5610 01, I found it pretty noisy. However, as time went on, the noise level became less irritating. I also feel like the design could have been a lot more compact. When you see the product for the first time, you will notice how big the battery part is.
That said, I am not complaining too much because I only need to recharge my toothbrush once every week. My final complaint regarding this toothbrush is the difficulty of cleaning it. Water, toothpaste, dirt, and also sort of fluids can get into the inner structure of the toothbrush. After using it for a month, I noticed a lot of brown gunk that needed to be cleaned out.
Therefore, it was pretty gross to have to clean the toothbrush every once in a while but I discovered a perfect solution, I put in the dishwasher. Other than that, I think this toothbrush is perfect for first time users. If you haven’t bought one yet, click here to get it on a great discount through Amazon!
